Clean coal is something of an oxymoron. I mean, it does reduce Carbon dioxide emissions, but by capturing the gas as it released and relocating it into the ground below which may lead to contamination of underground water sources.Not to mention that this is a very expensive process to do, so coal companies are not going to jump on this technology willingly. Furthermore, coal usage is probably going to be on a steep decline as natural gas usage starts becoming more prominent.
